Our Farewell Gathering ~ part 1

Assalamualaikum...

12-13 April 2010 -- tarikh yg paling bermakna dlm sejarah hidup aku spanjang kat UIA Kuantan (sounds quite exaggerating here.. hee..) cuz on those days we had the last event for our class --> our farewell party, but NOT the last day we see each other.. the event was fully organized by us, the 062 batch, specially for our senior classmates, to celebrate them who'll be graduating very soon, as well as to appreciate them as our classmates for these 3 and a half years..

well, the original idea for the event was initiated by Mr. J, and all 14 of us were involved as the organizing committee.. the planning and preparations takes dlm beberapa minggu je kot kalau tak silap aku.. tapi alhamdulillah evrything berjalan dengan lancar according to the plan.. well, tu menunjukkan betapa semangatnya kitorang nak buat event tu, and dengan kerjasama smua org la the event was very successful..

tempat yg jadi pilihan kitorang for the event -- Muara Beach Resort, Balok, sebab kat situ kemudahan yg kitorang perlukan disediakan dgn caj yg berpatutan.. since it was a two days program, we booked rooms there to stay for the night.. tapi tak smua classmates kitorang bermalam kat situ, ada yg datang masa acara tertentu je, then terus balik kampus..

as for us the committee members, hari Isnin petang kitorang bertolak dari UIA, checked in bilik masing-masing, rehat sekejap, and then terus busy with all the preparations for the night.. ada yg hias hall, prepare drinks, potong buah-buahan, get the foods.. and yg tolong tengok je pun ada.. kot.. heee..

around 8pm, the program started with the arrivals of all the VVIPs (our seniors), then kitorang terus had our dinner.. the menu for the nite was nasi lemak + satay (ayam & daging) + sirap limau... evrything was specially ordered from a famous restaurant in Kuantan (err... satay zul tu kira famous la jugak, kan.. at least among us.. hehe), except for the drinks which was prepared by our experts.. hehe..

then after dinner kitorang masuk hall for the next agenda.. after the opening remarks from the program manager (Mr. J), we proceed with a game, named 'regu'.. (i'm the one in charge for this game, together with a friend.. hehe).. best gila tengok diorang main, masing-masing pnuh bersemangat je.. smua org nampak sangat gembira walopun time tu aku rasa ada yg tengah tension sebab fyp + thesis.. well, i think the program has made them forget about all those things for a while..

after the game, as usual kitorang ada acara exchange gift.. everytime kalau class kitorang organize party acara ni memang kira wajib la kot, macam last year punya event.. evryone got a gift to exchange with another, based on the vote done before that.. i got a frame clock from my cute senior, it was sooo cute.. thanks akak.. =)

lpas exchange gift, we had a video show, which was prepared also by Mr. J.. hmm, all these things memang kira macam common la kan in a dinner event -- makan-makan, video show, exchange gift.. the video was really a nice one, and part yg last-last tu memang agak touching sikit la sebab bila tengok balik gambar-gambar lama tu memang terkenang balik masa zaman muda-muda dulu (macam la muda sangat, padahal 2-3 tahun je kot.. haha).. nasib baik takde yg menangis kat situ.. eyh, ker ada?? heheh..

then, lpas dah abis smua acara, tibalah masa yg dinanti-nantikan, the climax of the night... jeng jeng jeng...!! a surprise for our birthday girls...!! yup, we made a surprise for our classmates who celebrate their birthdays in April.. and hey, we got one representative from each concentration courses (Environmental Health, Industrial Health, and Clinical & Pharmaceutical Research).. hrmm, what a wonderful coincidence, kan?? and one of them celebrate her birthday on the 12th itself.. best kan?? and the cakes.. they really look soooo yummy tapi oleh sebab aku dah kenyang + letih yg teramat sangat, so tak larat la aku nak merasa kek-kek tu..

then after dah tiup lilin and potong kek smua, kitorang pun bersurai.. but not to forget the photography session to capture our last memories together.. gambar wajib ada ok.. an event wouldn't be complete without a photography sessions,, right..?? so here's some of the pictures of the night..

lpas habis all the photography session baru la kitorang smua disperse.. dekat pukul 12 jugak kot baru kitorang balik bilik masing-masing @ kampus.. serius memang letih gila la malam tu.. so lpas kemas2 hall & ruang makan tu, aku terus balik bilik and tido la, apalagi.. hehe..

alamak, acara pagi esoknya tak story lagi ni.. ni baru acara malam je.. tu pun dah panjang dah.. hmm, nanti ada masa aku sambung yg the next day punya event.. promise..!! ada keja sikit nak buat ni.. ok, see ya in the next entry.. stay tuned..!! heee.. =P
